Not much to report other than I'm 39 weeks today and still pregnant. I went to the doctor on Thursday and I'm not dialated, NO effacement and I'm having no contractions. I go again on Tuesday and pray that they tell me something different. Let me tell you...this waiting game stinks!!! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is done. I'm at the point where I go around the house and "look" for something to clean, organize or fix. LOL!!! In addition to just waiting for Luke's arrival, I'm HUGE! I've gotten to the point where I tell strangers that I'm a week OVERdue!!! :-) Anyhow, my days are spent playing on the computer, reading books and magazines, cleaning, walking and laying out by the pool (yes, laying out). I'm trying VERY hard to enjoy these last quiet times, but my thoughts are consumed with Luke.
Luke's world:
Your baby's waiting to greet the world! He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it's likely he already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, a mini watermelon. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.) The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath.
